Program Description
If you are a young or new professional, join Jill Gugino Panté and Scott Rappaport of the
Career Services Center at the University of Delaware for tips and preparation
for interviewing with a college union. This session covers both aspects of
the interview process as an interviewer and interviewee for a college union.
Additionally, the presenters go over what questions to prepare in advance.

About the Presenter(s)
Jill
Gugino Panté is the assistant director for Lerner College Career Services Center at
the University of Delaware. As the career consultant for Lerner College of
Business and Economics undergraduate majors, she advises undergraduate students
and alumni on career development issues as well as conducts presentations of
career development workshops and assist in developing support materials. She received her master's in college counseling from the University of
Delaware and her bachelor's in criminal justice from University of
Dayton.
Scott
Rappaport is the career counselor for student employment and internships programs
at the University of Delaware. As the career consultant for College of Arts
& Sciences majors, he advises undergraduate students and alumni on career
development issues as well as conducts presentations of career development
workshops and assist in developing support materials. Rappaport received his master's in counseling and higher education administration from the University of Delaware and his bachelor's in speech communication from Ithaca College.
Learning Outcomes
As a result of attending this program, participants will know about:
- The interview process specific to college unions
- What questions to ask during the interview and what questions to avoid
- The role of the interviewer
- The role of the interviewee
As a result of attending this program, participants will be able to:
- Develop questions to ask during the interview process
- Prepare well formulated answers to college union-specific interview
questions
- Create a conversation in the interview through
dialogue
