IndyPride and ACUI

We had such a great time celebrating at the Circle City Pride Festival. Thank you for visiting our site to learn more about what we do!

ACUI supports campus community builders around the world by providing education, advocacy, and a variety of resources and services for our members. Our core values—unconditional human worth, joy, learning, caring community, innovation, diversity, and integrity—are the cornerstones of our work!

ACUI is committed to a vision for diversity and inclusion: to provide programs and services to our membership and the higher education community that actively affirm, embrace, and infuse multiple systems, values, and cultures. Driven by principles of mutual respect, common purpose, and equity for all persons, the Association is committed to creating and maintaining a sense of community and inclusion for all its constituents and raising awareness regarding issues of oppression. Learn more about our diversity and inclusion efforts, including our LGBTQ+ Community of Practice and support of Indiana Competes.

Membership – Build Community on Your Campus

If your college or university offers programs, activities, services, and facilities to enhance the community life of the campus, then ACUI membership is for you! Providing these programs complement the academic experience to develop well-rounded, intellectual individuals.

In addition to the programs and services mentioned below, visit the membership section to find out the complete package of benefits and services available to ACUI member institutions.

Programs – Discover Your Potential

ACUI reaches out to future leaders in the profession and in society through programs designed to appeal to a wide variety of student interests.

  • The Institute for Leadership Education and Development (I-LEAD®) is a premier ACUI student program. This six-day living-learning experience gives participants a unique opportunity to explore leadership styles, community development, personal values, and their potential to initiate positive change now and in the future.
  • The College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational (CUPSI) offers an opportunity for campuses with new or existing Poetry Slam programs to compete for top honors and to share their artistry and voices. And everyone is enriched by sharing poetry, embracing the value of inclusivity, and supporting a program in which “Everyone’s voice is welcome.”
  • The ACUI's conference brings together about 1,000 students and professionals. The 2016 annual conference in New Philadelphia will feature learning opportunities for student leaders and student employees in addition to the general events and social gatherings.

Check out all of ACUI's Student Programs and our seminars and institutes!

Participation in these programs means potential for leadership development and peer-to-peer networking, but if you are looking for a chance to compete in recreation and leisure activities, more ACUI programs are available and might be exactly what you need.

Take advantage of all ACUI has to offer just by being a student member. And, if your institution is an ACUI member, you can receive discounted member rates all programs and services.
