Northeastern University Drive In

ACUI Region VIII is coming to Northeastern to tour the recently renovated Curry Student Center, as well as a number of other spaces across campus! Join us in early August for a drive-in experience with our Northeastern colleagues as they showcase their numerous event spaces, as well as some of the unique challenges they face in facilities and activities on campus. We will also be offering two different tracks to learn on: one along a facilities focus and the other focusing on student activities and organization support.

Date, Time, and Schedule

The Northeastern University Drive In will be Thursday, Aug. 4, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

Please find a tentative schedule below:

  • 10 a.m.–Noon: Welcome, Introduction to Northeastern Facilities and Student Activities, Tour of Renovated Curry Student Center and Other Facilities
  • Noon–1 p.m.: Lunch at East Village (lunch is included, but feel free to bring any supplemental snacks)
  • 1–3 p.m.: Learning Tracks
    • Facilities will explore unique spaces around the campus and discuss with staff about how they overcome space and operational obstacles to manage events effectively
    • Student activities and organizations will learn how Northeastern books space on their busy campus, their model of pricing, and how they utilize ticketing vendors and Social Tables
  • 3–4 p.m.: Debrief
