Region III Scholarships

Region III is dedicated to the development of undergraduate students, graduate students, and professionals across the region. This dedication has led us to offer a number of scholarships to a variety of ACUI programs throughout the year. Scholarships, awarded through an application and review process, cover the cost of registration for the individual. Specific scholarship application times are disseminated to our members through email and social media, in addition to postings on the website.

I-LEAD® Scholarship

Every year, Region III selects a number of students, whether undergraduate or graduate, for a scholarship to attend the Institute for Leadership Education and Development (I-LEAD®), ACUI's premier student program. Applicants are required to submit an essay, proof of academic good standing, and at least one letter of support. Additionally, the applicant must acknowledge that fees not covered by program registration (travel/transportation) are at cost to the host institution or individual.

The personal essay should address each of the following prompts:

  • Describe yourself
  • Why would you like to attend I-LEAD®?
  • How will you benefit from attendance at the program?
  • What do you hope to learn and bring back to your campus?

IPDS Scholarship

Region III offers one scholarship to cover the registration fee for IPDS: New Professionals Orientation.

IPDS: New Professionals Orientation has been refined over its more than 40-year existence. The program offers participants an opportunity to:

  • Enhance the specific skills identified as especially relevant for new professionals.
  • Learn about new practical applications for theory and the role of the college union.
  • Build a professional network of people with the same responsibilities as you.
  • Gain informational resources to help you solve problems on campus.
