Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are instrumental in advancing the mission and strategic directions of the ACUI, and getting involved at the regional level is a great way to connect to the organization, build your professional network, and develop new skill sets.

Current open volunteer opportunities across all regions are listed on the main ACUI Current Volunteer Opportunities page.

In addition, below is an overview of the many opportunities to volunteer regionally.

Regional Director
The regional director is an elected position that serves as the chief administrator for the region and as the primary liaison between the association officers, Central Office, other regional directors, project program teams, and member institutions.
Applications are due the last Friday of April to run for election when the position is open.

Regional Leadership Teams
There are 13 positions on the Regional Leadership Team in each of ACUI’s eight regions, all playing an important role in the success of regional programs and services through their dedication as volunteers.
Applications are due the second Friday of July for open positions on the Regional Leadership Team.

Regional Conference Planning Teams
Members of these teams collaborate with the regional conference coordinator to plan all needs before, during, and after the regional conference each year.
Applications are due by Dec. 20 for the 2017 Region I Conference Planning Team.

Other Opportunities
In addition to these standard opportunities, there are plenty of other ways for ACUI members to be involved regionally through planning educational programs, hosting regional events, serving on regional project teams, and more.

To get involved, please contact the Region I volunteer coordinator Corey Valine at cvaline@scu.edu.
