What are you looking forward to most at the 2015 annual conference?

I am really looking forward to welcoming our delegates to San Antonio! I want all of our attendees to look forward to spending a few days in San Antonio exploring the area and developing new ideas, and for them to be as excited as we are to start the next 100 years with ACUI.

What advice would you give to first-time delegates?
I advise first-time delegates to go to all conference activities and to meet new people wherever you go. ACUI is such a fun organization, and people are really friendly once you say hi.

Why did you become involved in ACUI and the Conference Planning Team?
I got involved in ACUI when I was in grad school because of a mentor of mine is really involved (shout out to Dave Timmann!). I fell in love with ACUI because of the people and all of the good work that we do. I chose to get involved with the Conference Planning Team because I wanted more responsibility and to work with people from all across the country. The annual conference is very exciting to me, so I wanted to help create this wonderful experience for others.

When/where was your first annual conference?
My first annual conference was in New York City in 2010. I applied for and received the Region 3 scholarship to attend. I was soooo excited to be there!

What three things in your office could you not live without?
Email/Google calendar, my three monitors :), and my printer (I create lots of entertainment contracts for student organizations).

In high school, I would have been/was voted…
Best personality & best smile.

If you could be in charge of any organization, what would it be and why?
The Make-A-Wish Foundation. My high school dance production raised money for three children to go to Disney World, and we included the kids in the show. It was an amazing experience that I’ll never forget.
