A Note from University of Alabama

ACUI and its Board of Trustees has recently been in contact with our colleagues at the University of Alabama, as they recover from the recent storms. Below is a note from Carl Bacon about how we can support the campus community during this trying time.

Dear Colleagues,

The University of Alabama appreciates your continued concern and support as our campus recovers from Wednesday's storms in Tuscaloosa.

We recognize and appreciate the incredible level of outreach we have received from so many people around the country asking how they can assist.

UA encourages those who wish to help to donate blood at any American Red Cross location and designate it for Tuscaloosa. This is one of the most important actions we can take to help those affected in the Tuscaloosa area.

The UA Acts of Kindness Fund has been established to support an emergency-assistance program for UA employees and students. Anyone who is interested in contributing to the UA Acts of Kindness Fund may donate online here: http://bit.ly/uaactsofkindness.

More information on UA’s tornado relief efforts may be found at http://www.ua.edu/tornadorelief/.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
