Q. What is your primary responsibility?
A. Oversight of building operations and parking departments. The main goal is to preserve the facility in optimal performance, plan for future improvement for the incoming generation of students, and maintain fiscal discipline in operational expense while maximizing revenue.

Q. What would your staff, colleagues, or students say about you?
A. He works too much, always busy, and if he believes in an issue, he is determined to accomplish it. He is always thinking about saving staff positions and cares about his staff’s job security.

Q. What’s one innovation or project of which you’re proud to have helped implement?
A. In general over the last 22 years, we have maintained our fair share of low overhead and being conscious about implementing cost-saving measures. These lessen the burden on the revenue-generating departments, especially in saving energy.

Q. What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned while working in the profession?
A. Beware of dark forces on campus.

Q. What is one phrase to live by or bit of advice you might have for future generations of union professionals?
A. Always remember, you were a student once.

Q. Is there anything else you would like ACUI members to know about you?
A. Constantly, you must remember what you do will impact and affect future services to future generations of students who will be using your facility.
