From 9 a.m.–Noon Monday, participants will tour the Recreational Sports Center opened in 2012. The 53-year-old facility is now a contemporary student fitness and wellness center with approximately 338,000 gross square feet (not including the adjacent existing Boilermaker Aquatic Center or the approximately 33,000 GSF Student Indoor Turf Activity Center). During the tour, participants also will view plans for the Center for Student Excellence and Leadership (CSEL), which recently began construction nearby and will house student organizations and activities. Following these educational opportunities, those involved the two renovation and construction projects will be on hand to answer any questions IPDS attendees have through an informal panel discussion.
