As we perform our daily job responsibilities, we often forget that college union and student activities work is grounded in student development theory. Being explicit about putting these theories into practice can often lead to greater student learning outcomes (which might even be easier to identify)!

Join Carrie Martin, coordinator of the University Program Board at James Madison University, as she reviews the concept of student development theory and provides general strategies of putting theory into good practice.

Additionally, all participants will receive a free copy of the new second edition of "Student Development in College: Theory, Research, and Practice." This indispensible resource will give you in-depth detail of the theories most relevant to our practice as college union and student activities professionals. Publications will be sent to each registrant immediately following the webinar.
