Temple University
Sunday, March 19, 9 a.m.–2 p.m.

Visit Temple University’s Student Centers. The Main Campus center offers visitors a variety of program and service options, including meeting and event spaces, a grand atrium, the primary bookstore location, student affairs and student organizations offices, as well as a host of other related services, lounges, and food court. Almost 200,000-square-feet, the center has nearly 3 million visitors annually and offers ample ways to get and stay involved with community building. Tour participants will see both public and back-of-house spaces and spend more than an hour seeing the facility through the eyes of student and full-time staff guides. After lunch, the second stop will be the Student Faculty Center (SFC) on the Health Sciences Center campus. The SFC recently completed an $8 million renovation, and tour participants will see the new lobby and offices, the Tech Center, and updated recreation and event/programming spaces. Thomas Jefferson University Campus and Facilities Tour

Thomas Jefferson University, founded in 1894 as Jefferson Medical College, is one of a few academic health centers in the United States. The tour of this urban campus will take you to some more common collegiate facilities as well as some locations out of the ordinary for those associated with more traditional two- or four-year institutions. This is a walking tour.

City Tours

City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program: Ales and Arts Trolley Tour

For 30 years, Mural Arts has united artists and communities through a collaborative process, rooted in the traditions of mural-making, to create art that transforms public spaces and individual lives. Explore the world’s largest outdoor art gallery through the City of Philadelphia’s Mural Arts Program. The first half of this tour, via trolley, will visit numerous pieces of outdoor public art. The second half is a visit to Yards Brewing Company and a stop at their Tasting Room which includes a few samples of their finest crafted brews. Outside will be food trucks for those looking for a local meal option.

Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts Tour
Monday, March 20, 2–4 p.m.

The Kimmel Center is a large performing arts venue in Philadelphia. Known as the Center, it is the home of the Philadelphia Orchestra, one of America's "Big Five" symphony orchestras and regarded as one of the best in the world. The Kimmel Center is also the home venue of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia. This tour will take you through the front and back of house of this iconic venue in Philadelphia and is in walking distance from the Marriott (no transportation will be provided).

Wells Fargo Center and Citizens Bank Park Tour

The Wells Fargo Center is the premiere sports and entertainment venue in South Philadelphia. It is home to the Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers, and the Philadelphia Soul. The Wells Fargo Center continues to remain a prime destination for the best sports and entertainment attractions in the Greater Philadelphia Region. Citizens Bank Park is the Major League Baseball stadium home to the Philadelphia Phillies. This tour will go behind the scenes of both of these iconic venues in South Philadelphia. Also, enjoy hot appetizers from McFaddens at the ballpark. Transportation will be through the SEPTA, Philadelphia’s public subway system.
