FLSA

Though the implementation of the final rules related to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) has been delayed, the 2017 Conference Program Team acknowledges the challenges associated with these potential changes and have made some adjustments:

  • We have worked to make sure the emphasis of the Philadelphia conference in on the educational experience; with the exception of preconference programs and the opening general session, all educational content is being offered on weekdays and scheduled during normal work hours.
  • Prior to attending the annual conference, we encourage you to work with your team to comply with your individual work plans and plan ahead to effectively manage your conference experience.
  • Finally, there are a variety of programs included in the conference schedule that will begin after 5 p.m. and attendance may be considered optional. While these components are meant to be entertaining and serve as a social outlet for our delegates, we also hope that conference attendees will also see them as opportunities to meet new people, renew existing friendships, and strengthen our ACUI community as a whole.
