Volunteer at Conference

Give back! Enrich your experience by volunteering at the annual conference. There’s something for everyone whether it’s your first time at the conference, if you are the only delegate from school, or if you are looking to volunteer and just don’t know where to start. Volunteering is a great way to meet other delegates, connect with your fellow colleagues, and share your experiences. Even if you’ve been to the conference several times and never volunteered, it’s never too late to start.

Here are just a few of the options:

  • Conference Concierge
  • Educational Session Presenter Checkin
  • Fund Run
  • Silent Auction
  • Career Center

Signing up is easy and very convenient through signup.com. Review open time slots, register for times, view the position descriptions, and sign up for email reminders. The site will be up and running soon, so please check back later for more detailed information.

Still not convinced? Hear from some of our Leadership Team members about their experiences.

"The very reason that I ran for ACUI president was to give back to my Association for giving so much to me. I believe the role of any leader, whether of a small group or an entire organization, is to serve as powerfully and comprehensively as you can, giving back much more than you are given. The lifelong friendships, career opportunities, and seminal moments that this organization has allowed me to amass are worth so much more than I will ever be able to repay, but I want to serve ACUI now and in the years to come in hopes of giving back at least a small portion of what I have been given."
— J. Scott Derrick, ACUI President

"ACUI has been my association of choice for more than 25 years. Volunteering allows me to give back to an organization that continues to impact me in so many ways, both professionally and personally. I look to ACUI for information, resources, life-changing experiences, and an invaluable connection to a cherished community of colleagues and friends—and have found all of these things by serving our association."
— Susan Payment, 2017 ACUI Conference Program Team Chair

"Prior to becoming CEO, ACUI was not just my association of choice, but the place where I got re-energized through volunteering. For me volunteering was a two-way street, I was able to contribute my time and talents to my professional association, but I also grew professionally and made great friends in the process."
— John Taylor, Chief Executive Officer, ACUI
