Union Tours

Get an all-access tour of local union facilities. Highlights will include visiting meeting spaces, observing marketing and technology practices, meeting local staff and students, learning about building routines and processes, and more. Union tours are an excellent way to network, gain new perspectives, and bring home immediate takeaways for your building and professional practice.

Southeastern Louisiana University
*Sunday, March 20, 8 a.m.–Noon  
Fee: $35 member/$50 nonmember
Take a trip to Hammond, La., with your ACUI colleagues and visit Southeastern Louisiana University. The university recently renovated their 1966 War Memorial Student Union, providing an engaging facility for their students. Registration includes transportation to and from campus.


Tulane University and Loyola University (offered twice)

Fee: $40 member/$55 nonmember
See two unions in one trip! Get an all-access, behind-the-scenes tour of the Tulane Lavin-Bernick Center and Loyola Danna Student Center. Tour participants will have opportunities to see a variety of rooms, areas, and facility features, including meeting spaces, technology and digital signage, storage and staff areas, dining venues, and more. Registration includes bus transportation through the Garden District to the uptown campuses.


Xavier University
Wednesday, March 23, 2–5 p.m.
Fee: $35 member/$50 nonmember 
Xavier University occupies a unique intersection in the higher education landscape: a Catholic, historically black university with a heavy emphasis on medical school preparation. Join colleagues on a tour of this campus, and explore how it has evolved into a post-Katrina powerhouse. Registration includes transportation to and from campus.
