School Tours

A number of opportunities exist for experiential learning while touring campus facilities. Take advantage of these trips while in the Orlando area.

University of Central Florida
Sunday April 6, 8:30–12:30 p.m. (breakfast)
Wednesday April 9, 1–5 p.m. (lunch)

The Student Union at the University of Central Florida is fondly referred to as the “heart” of campus. Join ACUI delegates as they tour the 35,000 square feet of meeting space in this union, which sees more than 30,000 visitors each day. UCF is one of the largest public universities in the Southeast, enrolling more than 60,000 student per year and offering numerous unique programmatic events sponsored by the union.


Small School Community of Practice Dinner and Tour: Rollins College
Monday April 7, 7–10 p.m.

Join small school colleagues on a trip that includes a trip to Rollins College nestled in beautiful Winter Park, Fla. With top-ranked academic programs and a historic campus located on the banks of Lake Virginia, Rollins will help visitors get a glimpse of Florida’s natural beauty. After a tour of campus, the community of practice will gather at 310 Park South

Stetson University
Wednesday April 9, 1–4:30 p.m.

Preregistration required: limit 50

Stetson University is located in DeLand, Fla., and was founded in 1883. Stetson University has received recognition for their implementation efforts and community involvement with recycling and energy conservation and boasts the first building in Florida, the Eugene M. and Christine Lynn Business Center, to be certified as a green building by the U.S. Green Building Council.

University of Tampa and University of South Florida **Value-added airport drop-off**
Thursday April 10, 8 a.m.–3 p.m.

Price: $30 includes campus tour of UT, union tour at USF, transportation, and lunch
Preregistration required: limit 50

Tour two distinctly different yet thriving campuses in the Tampa area. The University of Tampa is a medium-sized private institution, nestled in the downtown area on the Hillsborough River and within walking distance of the David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, Tampa Theatre, Tampa Museum of Art, and the Tampa Bay Times Forum. This location solidifies UT’s strong commitment to the arts.

In contrast, The University of South Florida is a large public institution with several satellite campuses located through the central part of Florida. USF is a global research university and one of the largest public universities in the United States. While visiting USF, delegates will get a full tour of the Marshall Student Center that was completed in 2008. Gould Evans Architects will be on hand to discuss the architectural and construction process.

A trip to the airport and return to the hotel will follow the school tours.
