Social Media Challenge

A number of online, mobile, and social technologies will be used during the annual conference to give delegates a hands-on opportunity to experience how these can be put to use. An additional way for you to engage in the experience while in St. Louis is by using these technologies to participate in the 2013 Social Media Challenge for the chance to win prizes.

To be entered into the prize drawings, all tasks must be completed, learner scorecards stamped, and champion tasks verified at the Conference Concierge by 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 13. The prizes will be awarded at the Closing Banquet that night.

Learner Challenge

If you are more of a novice with social media tools, a scorecard challenge has been designed to help you learn the features and functionality of Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, Pinterest, and Instagram. Get your card in your delegate bag or in the Social Media Lounge, and complete a series of tasks for each application.

To win prizes, complete all tasks for an individual platform to get entered into drawings for Amazon and Starbucks gift cards, and complete all tasks for all platforms to get entered into a drawing for a Kindle Fire HD.

Champion Challenge

If you are a veteran user of social media, complete one of the following more advanced tasks that will help facilitate connections for others:

  • Arrange a tweetup in St. Louis and provide photo evidence
  • Post on your personal blog about your learning, and share the link
  • Meet a colleague from your online network in real life for the first time and provide photo evidence
  • Volunteer as a coach in the Social Media Lounge

Complete and verify one of these tasks to receive a #CHAMP badge and be entered into a drawing for a $50 iTunes gift card.
