Each year, diversity among institutions grows and changes. Supported and well-facilitated conversations initiate development and express value for diversity among students. This session helps facilitators become comfortable with their skills and be able to return to their campuses with knowledge to create learning opportunities for students.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the importance of acknowledging and discussing diversity among students with confidence.
  • Become familiar with the vocabulary used in conversations about diversity.
  • Learn activities that can be used to initiate discussions about diversity.
  • Gain insight on way to properly facilitate discussions during activities.
