Registration and Fees

Although the economy is still a factor in all of our professional and personal lives, the gathering of colleagues is important for creativity, shared learning, and problem solving. This year’s conference program is enhanced with programming covering all 11 core competencies through not only keynotes and educational sessions, but also featured speakers and technology sessions. New to the 2011 conference are poster sessions based on the scholarly research, proven best practices, and innovative experimental projects of our members. Additionally, you can meet with associate members in the ACUI Expo as well as in dedicated sessions with in-depth product demonstrations. Today’s professional development investment in the ACUI conference experience will give you every opportunity to demonstrate immediate returns once you are back on campus.

Delegates are expected to wear their name badges to conference events. For security purposes, those without name badges may be refused entry. Registration is available for your staff and students on one of these ways:

Student Rate

In 2008, ACUI's Growing the Profession Task Force revealed a challenge in attracting young people to the profession. A purposeful decision was made to tighten the budget in other areas and allow for reduced rates for graduate students.

After a few successful years, the program has proven to be a robust conference enhancement and has allowed emerging professionals to attend and also take advantage of the ACUI Networking Fair and peer learning networks. The 2011 conference will also allow undergraduate students the same low rate, helping them build their community and learn more about a career in the field. Additionally, all students attending the conference will be able to register for their appropriate peer network for deeper learning sessions and networking.

Meals at the Conference

ACUI is able to secure a more favorable hotel room rate (and decrease the overall member cost of attending the conference) by including some meals in the conference registration fee. Our professional community also values the opportunities inherent in mealtime discussions, such as meeting other colleagues and sharing best practices.
