Thank God for Unions: DePaul Lincoln Park & Loyola
Wednesday, March 2, 12:45–5 p.m.

The tour will depart from the Conference Concierge, Level 5. Please plan on arriving no later than 12:30 p.m., following Education Session Block 8. We will be using the L train to travel to both schools, so please dress appropriately. This tour will demonstrate the way in which two urban, religiously affiliated schools employ their unions to promote community and advance their missions of faith and service.

At DePaul, The new Lincoln Park Student Center was completed in December 2001 and was opened to the public in January 2002. The new union was built on the former site of Alumni Hall, offers meeting space, dining, ballroom, and student involvement offices.

Upon arrival, the group will be given a tour of Lincoln Park Student Center. Joe Bertolli will guide us to the multi-purpose ballroom, where you may leave coats and have refreshments. Bathrooms are nearby. He will then do a five-minute introduction, and the group will be broken into three subgroups. Each will do essentially the same tour, but each tour guide will provide a special focus:
Reyna Griffin– operations focused and event planning
Lon Batelli – programming and marketing
    Joe Bertolli – business
