Small School Tour: Elmhurst College and North Central College
Sunday, Feb. 27, 10 a.m.–2:45 p.m.
 

This tour will depart from the Conference Concierge, Level 5, where your registration materials will be presented to you. Please plan to arrive no later than 9:45 a.m. on Sunday. We will board a bus for travel to Elmhurst College Frick Center where Ian Crone, associate dean of students, will provide tour. Lunch is included in the cost of the tour. After lunch, we will board the bus for the 30–45-minute trip to North Central College where Amy Clarke Sievers, director of student involvement, will meet us for the tour of White Activity Center. We will return to the hotel by 2:45 p.m.—in time for the opening keynote.

Designed for professionals from campuses with student enrollments of 5,000 or less, visit two unique small schools and their college union facilities. 

Elmhurst College: Elmhurst is a private, four-year college affiliated with the United Church of Christ. Our tour will include the college union, the Frick Center, a 70,000-square-foot facility that features campus dining, meeting, multi-purpose and programming space, student organization office space, and Founders Lounge.
Upon arrival, you will be able to drop off your coats in the Blume Board Room before beginning the tour. The tour will be focusing on challenges of Founders Lounge multipurpose space, student services in Frick Center, cafeteria and roost dining areas, student organizations office space, and radio station. You will have lunch in the Blume Board room and be able to grab your coats before going to North Central College.

North Central College: North Central College is a private, four-year comprehensive liberal arts college; highly selective; primarily residential; primarily undergraduate; and affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Our tour will include the White Activities Center, the combined residence hall/recreation center, as well as the new Fine Arts Center, which includes a 605-seat concert hall, a 2,500-square-foot theatre, and art gallery. Upon arrival, the group will divide into two to three smaller groups.
