Devil in the White City Tour
Sunday, Feb. 27, 9:30 a.m.–2 p.m.

Please meet at the Conference Concierge on Level 5 by no later than 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.

We will depart the Marriott and walk a couple of blocks to a nearby subway station and take a quick ride on the Red Line to reach the Loop area of Chicago.

Participants will watch a 45-minute video about the 1893 Chicago World Fair to learn more about its impact on the city. After the video, participants will board a private charter bus for a 2 ½-hour tour of the area where the World Fair was held to learn more about the history of the fair and how it transformed Chicago.

Dress is casual. Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes and warm clothing since we will be outside for part of the tour. And don’t forget your camera!

After the tour, we will take the Red Line back to the hotel and return by no later than 2 p.m., so you have time to grab a bite to eat for lunch before the 3 p.m. opening keynote. You are welcome to bring snacks on the bus since lunch is not provided.

If you have any questions about this tour, please e-mail Ryan Willerton at willerton@nd.edu.
