ACUI 2009 Annual Conference

2008 Educational Session Policies

Thank you for your willingness to discover "what it means" to present at ACUI's 88th annual conference by submitting an educational session proposal. We are looking for sessions and presenters that will share knowledge, research, and experiences. For full consideration, please submit your proposal by June 15, 2007.

To maximize the educational experience for all ACUI members, we are seeking a balance of programs that reflects our commitment toward enhancing our knowledge base within each of our four Education Council areas:

  • Administration, Finance, and Management
  • Auxiliary Services
  • Campus Life and Program Management
  • Facilities and Operations

We are also looking for sessions that attempt to address one or more of our profession's core competencies:

  • Communication
  • Facilities Management
  • Fiscal Management
  • Human Resource Development
  • Intercultural Proficiency
  • Leadership
  • Marketing
  • Management
  • Planning
  • Student Learning
  • Technology

In addition, we want to provide a broad range of topics to meet the various professional levels of conference attendees, so please include in your proposal information about any specific audiences that your session would might interest.

We are being deliberate in selecting a balanced array of session topics to meet delegates' educational needs. For this reason, presenters may be asked to focus their session on a particular aspect of a session topic to fit it into a broader curriculum.
