  • Dwindling resources combined with demand for more services/programs
  • Emergency preparedness
  • Helping others understand the role of the college union
  • Need for flexible, multipurpose space
  • Nontraditionally aged students and students who are parents
  • Off-campus groups using resources
  • Outdated models of meeting diverse students’ needs
  • Privatization of services and outsourcing
  • Responsibility to develop students through employment opportunities
  • Sustainability and eco-savvy generation
  • Turnover in entry-level positions
