Job Description - Housekeeping Assistant, Operations

Category: Student employee

Responsibilities: Responsible for cleanliness of facility and furnishings under guidance from housekeeping management; Relays all pertinent information/issues/needs/ideas about cleaning to staff members as appropriate; Completes all daily housekeeping rounds as instructed by housekeeping management, including special assignments such as floors, windows, and “deep cleaning” as appropriate. Regularly vacuums, cleans glass, empties trash, sweeps, and dusts as needed; Attends required student employee staff development meetings/programs. Must wear protective equipment, including (at a minimum) closed-toed shoes and gloves when necessary.

Special qualifications: Customer service skills; ability to work with a minimum of supervision; Cooperative spirit in working with peers, supervisors, clients, and guests; Evening/weekend availability is desirable
