Event Services Coordinator

Responsibilities: May supervise staff who accept reservation requests and schedules efficient use of union facilities. May also schedule events personally. In some cases, may be responsible for scheduling of all campus facilities usually, excluding athletics, when not used for academic purposes. Interprets policies. Advises clients on the elements of successful event planning. Coordinates major functions and arrangements for audio‑visual and other equipment. Arranges for room set-ups. Maintains master calendar and records. May coordinate catering requests.

Special qualifications: Knowledge and appreciation of the intricacies of the entire collegiate calendar and potential conflicts. Ability to apply policies equitably and recognize unusual requirements. Must be well-organized and able to keep work up to date. Meets people easily and maintains composure during scheduling crises. Proficiency with computer programs desirable.

Experience: Familiarity with a union or other institutional operation, such as a hotel or club. Demonstrated ability to work within systems and to keep records.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years' experience.
