Commuter and Nontraditional Student Coordinator

Responsibilities: Provides leadership, programming and support for off-campus and adult student learners. Responsible for the daily coordination and administration of commuter and nontraditional student services office and developing programs designed to meet the needs of commuter and nontraditional students. The coordinator facilitates assessment of needs, satisfaction and outcomes, initiates and maintains working relationships with local apartment managers, and coordinates publications and marketing materials.

Special qualifications: Candidates should have excellent communication skills, be able to successfully supervise student employees, and build and maintain relationships with other campus entities such as child care and parking offices.

Experience: Candidates should have previous experience working in a university setting, programming experience, and possess excellent communication skills.

Education: Requires completion of a four-year college or university program with major emphasis on coursework in business administration, public administration, student personnel services or other related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree and at least three years experience preferred.
