Information/Box Office Manager

Responsibilities: In charge of information desk and/or ticket office operations. The information desk staff answers questions about campus and community events, dispenses information about campus services, organizations, policies, and procedures, and often manages clearinghouses for tutors, rides and housing. The ticket office sells admission tickets for a variety of campus events and sometimes community events. In many unions, these two functions are combined in one position. In some unions, this position also may supervise small retail operations such as candy or flower sales.

Special qualifications: Knowledge of the campus and community. Good communication skills. Computer literacy. An understanding of cash operations and inventory control.

Experience: Demonstrated ability to interact with the public. Cashier or other retail experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent number of years’ experience.
